How we help those that need it most
What We Do
Through events, such as our Holiday Gift Drive and one-off, case-by-case gifts to women and children in need, the Sparkle Foundation focuses on providing not just life’s necessities but the delights, as well.
Through aid for enrichment programs and access to our network of resources, Sparkle adds to the lives of those that receive Sparkle assistance in many ways.
Sparkle’s energies are geared toward:
Single Mothers caring for children
Women who have become derailed due to the uncertainties of life and just need a little nudge to get back on track
Holiday Gift Drive
Each year the Sparkle Foundation seeks nominations of women and their families that could use a little extra sparkle this holiday season. We look for single mothers and other women who, despite their circumstances, keep hustling, keep smiling, and, many times think only of everyone else. The Sparkle Foundation bears the wonderful burden of the holidays for recipient families. In 2018, fifty families received holiday gifts and goods to make their lives sparkle. In 2019, Sparkle made the holidays extra special for almost seventy families in 3 major metropolitan areas (the greater SF Bay Area, Los Angeles/Ventura County, and Sacramento). 2020 a GLOBAL PANDEMIC couldn’t stop the Sparkle! 42 Families were served this year with masks and social distance! 2023 we had impact in 3 major areas throughout California. Touching the lives of 254 individuals and 80 families. 2024 we served 287 mothers and their children. Also expanded into Arizona with our 4th location.

Enrichment Scholarships
Keeping children engaged in sports and the extracurricular programs is so important. Our Sparkle enrichment scholarship program is designed to do just that. We provide one time scholarships for the children of single mothers. We provide funding for programs such as sports, art, theater, tutoring, camps, music, dance, and technology. Also, we pay the providers directly to make sure the funds are allocated correctly.
This program runs year round.

SparkleBiz
We believe in women, and we believe that single mothers are the hardest working group of women out there especially when it comes to being a business owner. Now, we are ready to put money behind them. In 2021 we launched SparkleBiz, micro-lending to single mothers that want to start or grow their businesses.

Back To School Backpack Drive
Sparkle Foundation sparkles year-round. In the late summer/early fall, we distribute filled backpacks to SF Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Ventura County and Phoenix. We work with local law enforcement offices and school districts for this mission.

Sparkle Brunch: A Truly Unforgettable Experience ✨
IS BACK for its 3rd dazzling year!
Join us for a powerful, joy-filled afternoon dedicated to celebrating and empowering single mothers and their children through three transformative initiatives at the heart of our mission.
Our Enrichment Programs provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and life skills that build confidence, self-sufficiency, and a sense of community. From afterschool tutoring, sports, summer camp, and music lessons. We are committed to enriching the lives children who many times are just victims of circumstances.
Our Holiday Gift Drive brings joy, dignity, and celebration to families during the season when it's needed most. With thoughtfully selected gifts for both mothers and children, we ensure every family feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
Our Microloan Program helps single mothers take the next brave step toward financial independence by providing small, meaningful loans to start or grow a business, pursue education, or cover essential needs—all with the support of a community that believes in them.
Your participation in Sparkle Brunch make all of this possible—supporting single mothers and their children in creating brighter, more empowered futures.
